This week’s episode is all about getting in the holiday spirit. We had a reminder to send in wish lists for Spread the Love, and we played a couple of our favorite games with a holiday twist. Read on to participate!
We started with This, That, Or the Other, and our choices were “old school” holiday movies, “mainstream” holiday movies, and “new school” holiday movies. We classified them sort of chronologically, with “old school” being the movies we grew up with like Home Alone and the old claymation Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. “New school” refers to Hallmark movies and the brilliant movies that Netflix has been making the past few years. “Mainstream” would be movies like Elf.
Which class of movie would you choose if you could only pick one set to watch for the rest of your life? And which movies would that set include?
After that we played Snog/Marry/BFF with the grown-up versions of some holiday movie characters. First we discussed what we think they would be like now, which ended up being fascinating.
